1 x 98 BI-METAL BLADE FOR 01079 SWIVEL HEAD METAL BAND SAW

This is the bi-metal blade for our 01079 swivel head metal band saw. The advantages of the bi-metal blade are apparent when cutting heavier materials such as stainless steel. These blades can outlast the standard carbon steel blades up to 10 times if broken in properly. For break-in on the first few cuts, you want to hold back on feed pressure on the saw. After you break it in, you can saw normally. These are made by the M K Morse Co and are top quality. Available tooth configurations are 5/8, 6/10, and 10/14. The variable pitch allows for smooth, fast cuts in many materials. You can specify variable pitch if desired, we have 3/4 (for heavy stock) 5/8 (for medium solids) or 10/14 (best all around).
